The combined creative energy of Baltimore artists Lauren Lyde, James Murphy, Jr., Karen Y. Buster, Maurice Bradford, Jr. & Larry "Poncho" Brown was sure a fruitful fellowship. On April 21st through April 23, 2006 they all came together to form the first "Baltimore Creative Quarantine" in which they isolated themselves at Poncho's Baltimore studio to spark creative motivation, and to share a collaborative work environment to create and inspire each other, resulting in some of the most spontaneous works of art ever created in "one weekend". "It was a wonderful opportunity to feed off of everyone's artistic energy and experience each artist's unique way of expressing their gift." All five artists are known for their individual works on paper and canvas, but now collectors will be able to see many unique original works including three dimensional works on plates, wood and other interesting objects. A staggering total of 19 pieces were created during this weekend gathering. We hope you enjoy viewing these exciting works!
